Groupon Wrigley Field

Wrigley Field Attendance

The Cubs had plenty of gimmicks going on last night to help woo in the masses. They honored Andre Dawson before the game and they gave out free hats. Plus, they had a peanut-free suite set up for the kiddies with the nut allergies. But I guess that, and some awesome weather, just didn't matter cause the attendance was 29,538. I did a quick google and that was the lowest attendance since September of 2006, when they sucked as well.

I wasn't part of that total. Instead, I got my Groupon on and headed up to a rooftop. The place was crazy packed and I'm sure it was only because of the sweet deal most everybody got. Maybe they should have a Groupon deal for inside Wrigley Field. I'm bettin they'll be pulling in close to 30K the rest of the season if they don't.

Word.

Torco Billboard - Nationals Replacement

The good old days of the old dependable Torco Oil Sign are long gone. I'm not too upset about the change - now they advertise for a barley pop I partake now and again. At least it is advertisement OUTSIDE of the stadium - I'm talking to you Toyota.
One thing I don't quite like or understand are all the messages they put up on that billboard.
I guess they think they are clever or witty. I don't. Here is the latest in time for the series versus the Washington Nationals.

Wrigley Rooftop in Review

Yesterday's a blur.
All you can drink and too much sun, I guess.
Good thing I took some party pics. From what I can piece together,
it went something like this:

Beer with my pally Tex:
wrigley field gameday 2

Plus More Beer:
wrigley field gameday 3

Plus some lovely ladies...
wrigley field gameday 1
= good times, I think. . . . It seems like it anyway...
but I'm hungover fo-sho

Rooftop? That's Right!

I'm also a regular Tom Skilling.
Tomorrow's forecast: Partly Cloudy with a high of 80 degrees

OH, and I just scored me a ticket to a R O O F T O P !

All you can eat and drink!

I'm just hoping some lovely ladies will be there as well.

Crazies On The Rooftops

I went for a walk and noticed two things across from the ballpark. For one - they have updated the old Torco billboard for next week. It says it is nice of Milwaukee to bring an opener. But what is more peculiar than that - because frankly I do not understand that advertisement - what is more peculiar is that there are a bunch of people up on that there rooftop watching an empty Wrigley Field. The game is in Atlanta and I'm quite certain you cannot see Atlanta from up there.
