The Scoreboard - She's Done
The renovations to the backside of the scoreboard appear to be complete. Just a few parts of the scaffolding need to come down.

Photographys Of The Scoreboard Progress
This here series of photographs shows the last few weeks worth of work on that there scoreboard. To be honest, I'm getting a tad tired photographing this thing. I'm glad she's done and I'm glad she looks dandy, and I am gonna be happy to stop documenting it for awhile.

The CUBS Have Returned To Wrigley Field
With only a few days to spare it looks like they will indeed have the backside of the scoreboard ready for opening day.
Red Stripe
It looks like these gentlemen have just about completed the painting portion of the scoreboard. I do believe that there red stripe is all they've got left before adding some letters.
The Scoreboard Flag Has Returned
I was worried sick that they were going to disgrace the back of the scoreboard with some sort of fancy lights or something, but it looks here like they are just going back to the way she's been for years.

Scoreboard Deja Vu
One reason I've kept this here blog up and going for all of these years is so that I can leave a legacy to my grandson Jeremy - Lord knows his worthless father isn't going to. Well sir, I have found another good reason to type these things down and take e-lectronic photographs. I happened by the scoreboard today and there they were doing the exact same thing they done did a few weeks back. They are taking off metal panels again. Well I'll be. If I didn't have something already written about this very sight I might have thought that I done did start to lose my dang mind.

New Panels
The replacement panels for the backside of the scoreboard have arrived and were quickly put in place.

Wrigley Field Renovations - Scoreboard Work
Renovations to the backside of the scoreboard are underway.
They started by removing the CUBS letters (that giant C would have looked great above my davenport in the basement) and then took down the individual steel panels to reveal the inner workings of the manual scoreboard: zeros and all.
