Soccer At Wrigley Field

My jobless Grandson informed me that there's this speculation going around that soccer - of all things - is going to return to Wrigley Field.

I'd say it is nothing more than conjecture, but it did motive him to put this here model together - so we will go with it.

Apparently a team by the name of Manchester United will face off against the Chicago Fire. My brother and our blog historian Harold tells me that there hasn't been soccer inside the Friendly Confines since the Chicago Sting would play from time to time. Their last game was back in '84.

Is it a good idea? Couldn't say.

Will a soccer field still fit? Danged if I know.

Will it give the marketing boys something to do and make a buck for the Ricketts? I reckon it will, and I reckon that is reason enough to believe it'll happen.
